The day of strike and demonstration on January 19 worries motorists.

Faced with the fear of shortages at the pump because of mobilizations in refineries, many motorists decide to stock up on fuel this Monday.

An attitude not always understood by users.

Drivers are afraid of shortages at the pump like last fall.

Faced with the day of strike and demonstration on January 19, they prefer to fill the tanks now.

Europe 1 was present in a station in Fontainebleau in Seine-et-Marne where the cars parade continuously.

This motorist, who fears a new shortage, came as soon as he could to fill up with unleaded 95. "I saw on the news that there was going to be a shortage of gasoline. Suddenly, I am came to put some because I noticed that I was dry," he explains.

Between prevention and misunderstanding

The memory of the Total refinery strike last October still haunts Mélanie.

This time, she doesn't want to be fooled.

"I'll try to get ahead and get gas before it runs out. Last time I ended up in the reserve. All the stations were empty and suddenly, we had to find another solution to be able to go to work because I had no petrol in my car”, specifies this motorist.

Some users denounce this type of behavior, like Jessy who does not understand the rush of motorists on gasoline.

“Currently, I am in reserve. I have only put in 20 euros just to move around the city. But I think that shortages are created because of people who are afraid and who overfill when they do not 'don't necessarily need it,' he laments.

Over the last three days, an increase of 10 to 30% in attendance at petrol stations has been observed in France.
