This Monday morning, just before 8 a.m., a man in his forties fell into the Canal du Midi, in front of Matabiau station, in Toulouse.

A passer-by did not hesitate to jump in to help this homeless man who was in difficulty, the temperature of the water, but also outside, not being very high.

Alerted, firefighters specializing in nautical rescue intervened to help them, in particular to help them get back to the banks of the Canal.

The man who had initially fallen in the water was taken care of in a state of hypothermia.

He was hospitalized, but his days are not in danger, according to the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service.
