The so-called "Davos Conference", where the world's political and business leaders gather, has started in Switzerland.

On the 17th, international political scientist Ian Bremmer, who is known for his risk analysis, will serve as moderator, and a session will be held to discuss the direction of "globalization."

The World Economic Forum's annual meeting, commonly known as the 'Davos Conference', kicked off on the 16th in Davos, high in the Alps, in eastern Switzerland.

This year, about 2,700 people, including more than 50 government representatives and business executives, will participate in discussions on the theme of "cooperation in a divided world."

On the 17th, a session will be held to discuss the future of "globalization," moderated by Mr. Ian Bremmer, representative of the Eurasia Group, which is known for the world's 10 biggest risks.

As the world continues to be divided by the conflict between the United States and China and Russia's invasion of Ukraine, prominent historians and others will discuss how the world should cooperate.

In addition, there will be a lecture by EU (European Union) Chairman von der Leyen and a session in which Prime Minister Marin of Finland will participate.

On the 20th, the final day of the meeting, Bank of Japan Governor Kuroda will also visit the site and participate in a session to discuss the outlook for the global economy.
