President Yoon Seok-yeol, who is on a state visit to the United Arab Emirates, had a summit meeting and emphasized cooperation in the nuclear field.

The President's Office explained that the UAE promised to invest 30 billion dollars and 37 trillion won of our money.

The first state visit in 43 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1980 was opened with an official welcome event including a review of the UAE military honor guard.

Outside the palace, 21-time salutes and aerial aerobatics by the Air Force continued as a state guest ceremony.



Following an expanded meeting attended by ministers and dignitaries from both countries, a one-on-one meeting was held between the two leaders.



President Yoon said at the meeting that he expected to develop the 'special strategic partnership' between the two countries to the highest level by strengthening cooperation in the four key areas of nuclear power, energy, investment and defense, as well as new industries.

The two leaders signed a memorandum of understanding in a total of 13 areas, including nuclear power plants, energy development, and high-tech industries.



In the field of nuclear power, it includes not only investment and joint development of small module reactor technology, but also joint exports to third countries.



We also promised cooperation in the fields of defense, mobility, aerospace, and parts and materials.



After the meeting, the president's office announced that the UAE sovereign wealth fund had promised to invest 30 billion dollars, or about 37 trillion won, in Korea.



In addition, the President's Office reported that President Muhammad's explanation was that he "decided to invest with confidence in the Republic of Korea, which keeps its promise under any circumstances."



After the summit, President Yoon plans to visit the ARK Unit of the Armed Forces stationed in the UAE and visit the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant, which we exported, as well as schedules.
