President Yoon Seok-yeol, who is on a state visit to the United Arab Emirates, held a summit meeting with President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi on the afternoon of the 15th, local time, and agreed to develop the 'special strategic partnership' between the two countries to the highest level. The summit was held as a one-on-one meeting between the two leaders following an expanded meeting attended by ministers and high-ranking officials from both countries.



In his remarks at the summit, President Yoon said, "The two countries should further expand and develop Korea-UAE relations with new leadership as an opportunity."



"I fully agree with the need to strengthen strategic cooperation in the four key areas of nuclear power, energy, corporate investment, and defense in order to develop bilateral relations anew," he said. .



In response, President Mohammed replied, "I am very pleased that you visited the UAE as the first state guest after taking office as president" and "I strongly hope to further develop our strategic partnership with Korea."



Regarding President Yoon's invitation to Korea, he said, "Korea is already a 'second home' in my heart" and "I will visit Korea soon with a happy heart."



President Muhammad decided to invest 30 billion dollars in Korea and 37 trillion won of our money.





At the luncheon, President Yoon commented on the UAE side's hospitality, such as serving camel meat, saying, "With the Korean Lunar New Year holiday approaching, I feel like my family and brothers are spending the holiday in advance in Abu Dhabi."



President Muhammad replied, "Although the UAE and Korea are geographically distant, the culture and customs of valuing family, respecting elders and welcoming guests are very similar."



The luncheon was attended by not only government officials but also business leaders such as Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong and Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun.
