An airplane with 72 people on board, including passengers, crashed in Nepal, killing at least 16 people, and it was reported that two Koreans were included on the list of passengers.



According to the local time today (15th), Kathmandu Post, etc., ATR72 of Nepal Yeti Airlines, heading from Kathmandu, Nepal to western Pokhara, crashed in Kaski district, Nepal.



"There were a total of 72 people on board, including 68 passengers and 4 crew members," said Yeti Airlines spokesman Sudarshan Bartaula.



Nepalese authorities have deployed a rescue helicopter to the crash site and hundreds of rescuers are searching the hillside crash site.



"The plane was blown to pieces and at least 16 people were killed," Nepalese Army spokesman Krishna Bandari told Reuters. "More bodies are expected to be recovered."



Reuters reported that it is estimated that two Koreans are included in the list of passengers.



Videos and photos of what appear to be on-site situations are being shared on Twitter.



In the video, the plane's fuselage catches on fire and emits black smoke, and people come and sprinkle soil to extinguish the fire.
