Inflation in Sweden continues to rise.

In the United States, where strong inflation appeared earlier, the curve has, on the other hand, begun to turn downwards.

But there are several signs that point to inflation starting to back down in Sweden as well.

Among other things, former Riksbank governor Lars Heikensten believes in declining inflation going forward, at least in the coming months.

- There is strong underlying inflation.

And when it started in the US, it was clear that there was a problem with wages rising too quickly in the labor market.

We also have such a problem, and that inflation tends to be difficult to bring down, he says.

Deep recession - but only this autumn

Raphael Gallardo, chief economist at the French asset manager Carmignac, also expects a spring with positive tones.

At the same time, he predicts that the recession will hit the United States this autumn - and a big one at that.

According to him, this is due to several factors, including the fact that unemployment in the US is still too low and that people have "too much money".

- At the same time, wages are rising and inflation has begun to decline.

So in the short term it looks good for the economy, he says.
