“Ukraine is rapidly running out of 155mm howitzer ammunition, and this is putting the United States in a difficult position,” he writes, citing a new report from the CSIS think tank.
Eastwood noted that since the beginning of the special operation, the United States has transferred more than 1 million 155-mm shells to Ukraine.
The center reports that Washington will not be able to replenish its reserves over the next five years.
