The wind will also strengthen significantly as the disturbance passes.

Temperatures, meanwhile, will drop everywhere in France, despite peaks at 20°C in southern Aquitaine.

Saturday will be marked by heavy rains on the northern half, according to Météo-France, while the southern half will remain dry.

After a relatively calm night, an active rainy disturbance will arrive from the northwest in the morning and, progressing slowly, will abundantly water the entire northern half of the country all day, explains Météo-France.

In the south, on the other hand, after the dissipation of the morning gloom in the South-West, the weather promises to be dry and brighter despite cloudy periods.

The wind will strengthen significantly as the disturbance passes, with gusts reaching 70 km/h, locally 80 km/h, on the northern half, up to 90-100 km/h on the exposed Channel coasts and on the Brittany coast.

Peaks at 20°C in the south of Aquitaine

Temperatures will drop, it will be 1 to 4 degrees in Occitania, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and the interior of PACA, with local frosts.

In the early morning, it will be 2 to 6 degrees in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and the Grand Est, locally close to 0. In Nouvelles-Aquitaine, Centre-Val-de-Loire, Île-de-France, Hauts-de-France, Pays de la Loire, Normandy and Brittany, the thermometer will show 4 to 9 degrees.

At the best of the day, the maximum will vary from 10 degrees in the North-East to 16 degrees in the South, with peaks at 20 degrees in the South of Aquitaine.
