The Fontainebleau Criminal Court (Seine-et-Marne) sentenced four men aged 32 to 33 on Monday.

They were found guilty of "theft" and "receiving theft" to the detriment of the La Poste sorting platform in Montereau-sur-le-Jard (Seine-et-Marne), Darty and Fnac.

The defendants received sentences ranging from ten months in prison suspended to two years in prison, including 18 months suspended.

The individual sentenced to prison will be equipped with an electronic bracelet.

Three of the convicted men will also have to compensate the victims.

In total, around sixty packages containing, in particular, barbecues, baskets, computers and vacuum cleaners had been diverted.

The amount of the total damage was assessed at approximately 100,000 euros.

To achieve their ends, the criminals tore off the shipping labels on the packages and indicated as recipient a resident of Darvault (Seine-et-Marne), from whom the packages were then recovered.
