cardiac arrest
that forced her to be hospitalized urgently.
It has been
her mother who has confirmed her death
through a statement to the American television network CNN.
"Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie. They are deeply
grateful for everyone's support, love
and prayers, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time," the statement read.
Lisa was
the only daughter of the legendary singer.
When Elvis died at the young age of 42, the artist was just nine years old and
she became a joint heir
to her estate, along with her grandmother, Vernon Presley, and her great-grandmother, Minnie Mae Hood Presley.
With the death of both,
Lisa became the sole heir
, valued at
more than 100 million
dollars (94 million euros).
In 2004, Lisa
sold 85% of Elvis Presley Enterprises
(EPE), the company that controls the rights and properties of the legendary singer.

In 2020, Lisa
suffered the loss of her son Benjamin,
who she also had from her first husband.
The young man committed suicide at the age of 28 at his mother's residence in Calabasas, California:
"My heart and soul went with you.
The depth of pain is suffocating and unfathomable without you every moment of every day," the celebrity said in their social networks the fateful day.
