• Marbella The detainee for the disappearance of his partner confesses that he killed her, decapitated her and threw her body into the sea

Members of

the Special Group for Underwater Activities (GEAS)

of the Malaga Civil Guard are searching the sea for the remains of the woman murdered and mutilated in the Malaga town of

Marbella

, presumably by her ex-boyfriend, who confessed the facts to the National Police and the Civil Guard.

Thus, these specialists have been searching since last Thursday at the place where the detainee told the

National Police

agents that he had thrown away the remains of his ex-partner after ending his life.

In addition, a patrol of the armed institute lends its support to these tasks.

Last Sunday the body of a woman was found floating in the water of the

beach of Cañas

de Marbella;

she was without hands and without a head, so identification of her was difficult.

Several witnesses recorded her corpse with mobile phones and the video was broadcast on social networks.

The family of a 46-year-old Colombian woman, who was a victim of gender-based violence and who had disappeared shortly before, saw these images and thought she recognized her sister in them, so she went to the National Police to file a complaint.

In the complaint, the family of the disappeared woman stated that the woman had received threats days ago by her former sentimental partner, a man of the same nationality, who would have violated the

precautionary measures

issued by the judicial authority after his arrest in mid-December for bad treatments.

The National Police took charge of this investigation and on the morning of January 9 established a mechanism aimed at locating the woman's ex-partner.

The agents arrested the suspect early in the morning for her alleged involvement, initially, for a crime of breach of sentence.

In addition, they searched the homes of the suspect and the woman, seizing various items of interest to the investigation.

Continuing with the investigations, the agents collected different testimonial evidence that

placed the victim and his ex-partner at the same point

in the city.

The victim and the detainee had maintained a sentimental relationship of about five months and at the end of November the woman decided to end it, the date on which the problems began.

Subsequently, she filed a complaint at the police station for an episode of ill-treatment.

This detainee, faced with the evidence that directly incriminated him in the disappearance of the woman, acknowledged the facts to the investigators, who carried out a reconstruction in an enclave on the coast of Marbella where, according to statements by the confessed author, he ended the life of his ex-partner and threw his mutilated body into the sea.

At the same time, the

DNA results

carried out to link both cases were positive and confirmed that the identity of the body found on the beach was the same as the missing woman.

The man was brought before the courts on Thursday and the

Court for Violence against Women number 1 in Marbella

agreed to admit him to provisional prison, communicated and without bail, investigated for the alleged crimes of murder and violation of a restraining order.

Before the judge he also acknowledged the facts.

The circumstance occurs that last December he settled for a conviction for the commission of a crime of mistreatment of his partner, the now deceased.

The sentence was handed down by the Violence Court of Marbella and consisted of a sentence of six months in prison and another 16 months of prohibition of communication and approach to the victim.

The prison sentence was suspended for a period of two years with the agreement of the Prosecutor's Office.

Likewise, the National Police arrested a second person, a friend of the victim's ex-boyfriend, who has passed this Friday at the disposal of the Violence Court of Marbella.

Supposedly, on the day of the crime,

he took the victim in a van

, her still alive, and her ex-partner to an enclave on the beach where the crime would take place.
