The Louis-Armand college in Golbey, in the Vosges, is in mourning.

One of his students, Lucas (13) ended his life on Saturday January 7.

The teenager, in 4th grade, was "victim of school harassment and homophobia" according to his family.

An investigation has been opened by the Epinal police, according to France Bleu Vosges.

As of Monday, a psychological cell had been set up within the establishment.

Academic director Valérie Dautreme explained on the radio that "the situation (of the child) [had] been taken very seriously by the establishment, by the head teacher", and that an intervention had been carried out.

“Lucas said afterwards that things were sorted out, that he was no longer being teased,” she added, adding that an internal investigation was also underway.

The parents of the victim have launched a kitty.

"Your donations will be used to have a funeral worthy of the love we have for Lucas", they write, denouncing "the gossip, injustice, wickedness and inaction of certain adults with whom he had entrusts ".
