In Turkey, it is not good to question state practices.

Şebnem Korur Fincancı, president of the Union of Doctors of Turkey (TTB), paid the price.

She was sentenced to prison on Wednesday for asking for an investigation into the possible use of chemical weapons by the Turkish army, but she has not said her last word.

“

Of course, as doctors, human health will be our priority, and we will oppose war.

We will do our best to ensure that the use of weapons is prevented, prohibited, and eliminated.

Because we don't only consider human beings.

Today, as I expressed at the trial, this concerns all living beings and it is the responsibility of all of us to confront all these attempts that harm our planet and the universe in which we live.

His lawyer has already announced that she will appeal the decision.

In pretrial detention since October 26, she was provisionally released by the Court.

The pre-election atmosphere is very tense in the country and considerably reduces the possibilities of a public debate
