A Palestinian youth was killed and another was critically wounded, Thursday evening, during the Israeli occupation forces’ raid into Qabatiya town, south of Jenin, in the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated, in a brief statement, that the young man, Habib Muhammad Abdel-Rahman Kamil, 25, was killed by live bullets in the head, while another young man was wounded by live bullets in the chest. He was subsequently transferred to Jenin Governmental Hospital, describing his injury as critical.

And the Al-Jazeera correspondent reported that clashes broke out between Palestinian youths and a special force of the Israeli occupation army, after storming the town of Qabatiya.

This brings the number of martyrs within 48 hours to 4, after the martyrdom of Samir Aslan (41 years) at dawn today, Thursday, in the Qalandia camp, south of Ramallah, and Sanad Muhammad Othman Samamra (19 years) south of Hebron, and Ahmed Amer Abu Junaid (21 years) in the northern city of Nablus. bank.

For its part, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades announced, on its Telegram page, that it is engaged in "an armed clash with a force of the Zionist enemy army in the town of Qabatiya in Jenin."

With Kamil's martyrdom, the number of martyrs in the occupied West Bank has risen to 8 since the beginning of this year, including 3 children.

It should be noted that the occupation forces killed 224 Palestinians during the past year, including 59 martyrs from Jenin and 61 children.
