Johan Åkerman is fired as assistant coach in HV71 and Charles Berglund takes over instead.

He will be on the ice when HV practices on Friday.

- We haven't gotten it out of the team as we want and now we need to bring in new energy before the end and we believe that Challe can play an important role there.

With his solid hockey background and positive attitude, we believe he can contribute to the team's rise, says Kent Norberg.

Try to get the players to relax

HV71's new assistant coach has a background of almost 500 SHL games and 10 years as a leader after his active career.

There he has been a coach in Timrå IK, MoDo Hockey and Djurgårdens IF, among others.

- In the situation the club is in, it is easy for things to lock up a bit and you hug the club hard.

My task now will be to come in and try to get the players to relax and get some pressure on things.

I have been in tough situations before as a leader and hope to be able to take with me experiences I have gained from them, says Charles Berglund.
