On Tuesday, an angry customer rammed his car into a Shanghai hotel, causing chaos at the entrance without recording any injuries, after a verbal argument between him and a number of employees over the loss of his computer.

Video clips circulated on social media showing a white car whose driver was trying to smash the entrance to the "Central Hotel" in Shanghai before entering the lobby.

In the videos, several customers can be heard saying "Go crazy!", as the driver destroys everything in front of him.

The car stopped at another exit from the hotel.

Some of those present shouted, "Do you realize what you just did?", while others were trying to get the driver out of the car.

Police said the 28-year-old driver was said to have argued with hotel staff after losing his laptop during his stay.

Hotel staff confirmed to AFP that the computer was stolen and then found outside the hotel.
