According to the website of the General Administration of Customs, the General Administration of Customs Announcement No. 3 of 2023 (announcement on preventing the spread of cholera epidemics into my country) stated that according to the World Health Organization (WHO) December 16, 2022 In 2022, global cholera cases and deaths will surge after years of decline, and more than 29 countries will have cholera outbreaks or report cholera cases, including Nigeria, Cameroon, Malawi, Congo (Kinshasa), Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia Cholera continues to be prevalent in China, Haiti, Syria, Lebanon, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and other countries.

  In order to prevent the spread of the cholera epidemic into my country and protect the health and safety of people entering and leaving the country, in accordance with the "Frontier Health and Quarantine Law of the People's Republic of China" and its implementation rules and other laws and regulations, the announcement is hereby issued as follows:

  1. People from the above-mentioned countries should take the initiative to declare to the customs when they enter the country if they have symptoms such as diarrhea and vomiting. The customs health and quarantine personnel will take medical measures and carry out sampling and testing according to the prescribed procedures.

  2. Aircraft, ships, containers, and goods from the above-mentioned countries that are infected or suspected of being infected should undergo sanitation treatment in accordance with prescribed procedures.

  This announcement will come into effect on the date of publication and will be valid for 6 months.
