Five people were killed in an explosion outside the Taliban-affiliated foreign ministry in Kabul, Afghanistan.

There was a big explosion in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the Islamist group Taliban in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, around 4:00 pm local time on the 11th.



According to the Taliban-affiliated police, five civilians have been killed and several injured.



Also, according to the police investigation, a man approached the gate at the entrance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs site and detonated a bomb he was wearing.



The site is located in the center of Kabul, where the embassies of various countries and the buildings of the Taliban Interim Administration are located, and the Taliban routinely maintains strict security.



Regarding the explosion, the Amaq news agency, which has a connection with the extremist organization IS = Islamic State, said, ``IS fighters bypassed all security and carried out a suicide attack at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.''



In Kabul, a hotel used by Chinese and other foreigners was attacked by an armed group in December, and an explosion occurred near an airport used by Taliban fighters in January. There has been a series of terrorist attacks targeting facilities related to the interim government.
