The 18-year-old, who denies any crime, is demanding that the Court of Appeal acquit him completely.

If he is convicted after all, the punishment should primarily be closed youth care, according to the man's defender.

It was on the afternoon of May 23 last year that the police were alerted to the Brunnsbacken district.

At the scene, in the middle of a residential area, a 25-year-old man was found who had been shot dead in front of shocked witnesses.

The man had been shot with at least nine shots, several of them in the head, according to the district court verdict.

According to the court, the sentence for an adult would have been life imprisonment, but as the 18-year-old was 17 at the time of the murder, he was sentenced to eight years in prison.

The murder weapon was found in a hut in a wooded area, near a preschool, a few hundred meters from the crime scene.

In the video, prosecutor Maria Estberg explains why she believes the district court made a good judgment when it sentenced the 18-year-old to a prison sentence.
