Google HD Maps is a brand new map designed especially for car manufacturers.
It provides extremely detailed and up-to-date traffic information, and the new Volvo EX90 will be the first vehicle on the market (along with the Polestar 3) to use it.
It must be said that with its 8 cameras, 5 radars and Lidar, the EX90 is at the forefront of what is being done in terms of driving assistance.

The aim of this technology is to recognize the environment precisely, both immediately in front of the vehicle, but also at a longer distance, beyond nearby turns and curves.
That's where Google's HD Map comes in.
