Two men aged 57 and 61 were arrested and charged with the death of their brother, we learned on Monday.

The facts occurred in Cancale (Ille-et-Vilaine), near Saint-Malo, on January 3 in the family home of the father, who had just died on December 31.

According to the elements of the investigation, the brothers were gathered to prepare the funeral to take place three days later.

One of the brothers warned the gendarmerie.

But the sexagenarian, transferred to the University Hospital of Rennes by the emergency services dispatched to the scene, died the next day.

The investigation will now try to determine what exactly happened.

The two suspects have been remanded in custody.
