And in recent months, interest in the nicotine pouches seems to have increased in France in particular.
French media have reported on the phenomenon and are also warned about its effects.
Among other things, features are broadcast about how young people feel unwell and in some cases end up in hospital after using snus.
And on social media, many videos of young people testing the tobacco product are spread - often with negative consequences.
