For the fixed part of the electricity grid fee, the increase is ten percent and is the fee paid by the customer to gain access to the electricity grid.

The variable fee is increased by 75 percent and is the transfer fee that the customer pays for the actual transport of electricity, and the size of the fee varies with how much electricity the customer uses.

Acted "buffer"

The reason is that Bjäre Kraft received cost increases of several hundred percent.

- In the last two years, the costs from the regional network owned by Eon have increased by 500 percent, while the costs for the own network losses have increased by 350 percent.

The two together means that we need to cover the costs in relation to the customer, says Alexander Jansson.

Big shifts

Usually, the electricity grid fee is adjusted once a year, but in line with large shifts in the electricity price, the fee will instead follow the electricity price.

- We have chosen to increase from February and not in January, so we have acted as a buffer and we did the same at the turn of the year.

You can't have this airbag all the time, says Alexander Jansson.

Bjäre Kraft has so far been able to cover the increased costs with the profit-making wind turbines the association owns.

- This means that we need to adjust the price more often and this can mean that it will be in both directions.

Lower fee at a low electricity price and higher at a high one.
