The alarm about heavy smoke in the regimental building came at 1.35pm on Monday afternoon.
- A few minutes ago we received information that the fire on the third floor had spread to the attic on the fifth floor, says the SOS operator.
Anna-Lena Hesse, head of communications at the Norrbotten Regiment, is on site:
- There is a fire in our office building where renovation work is currently underway.
As far as I know, there should not be any people in the building, she says.
Anna-Lena Hesse says that the staff at the Chancellery has previously moved to other premises while waiting for the building to be fully renovated.
