A priest falls from the ladder of his church and dies in Strasbourg

It was around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday when Father Nicolas Tousch, 44, parish priest of Sainte-Madeleine in Strasbourg but also chaplain of Saint-Etienne college, suffered a terrible fall, reveals the newspaper

According to the regional daily, the abbot who wanted to change a light bulb fell heavily from his ladder, from a height of about two meters.

The accident happened when the president of the factory council was entering the church.

Witness to the tragedy, the latter alerted the emergency services and provided first aid to the victim, specify our colleagues.

The emergency services then transported him in absolute urgency to the Hautepierre University Hospital, in vain.

The abbot passed away on Sunday evening.
