From January 18, future baccalaureate holders will be able to express their post-baccalaureate orientation wishes.

And to reassure students, the site has new features to better guide them.

What do high school students think?

Europe 1 asked them the question, at the post-baccalaureate orientation fair in Paris.

Where to register and how to do it?

This is the question that torments all high school students in Terminale class each year.

Parcoursup is a rich post-baccalaureate admission site, perhaps too rich.

So to better guide students, the platform has information sheets detailing admission procedures, such as the criteria scrutinized in candidate files.

At the post-baccalaureate orientation fair in Paris, Yoni feels rather confident to return his wishes within a few weeks on Parcoursup, thanks to the new version of the site.

"It's specified when you have to write a letter, or you have to have an interview. It's very complete," he notes.

Insufficient adjustments for some

But that's not Lana's opinion.

For her, the admission criteria remain insufficiently detailed.

"We do not know what are expected to be taken in schools. So, we try, but in itself I have no idea if I have the possibility or not", she regrets.

"For engineering schools for example, I can't know what minimum mark I must have in maths."

In the aisles of the Salon, Juliette and her friend know that they cannot rely solely on the platform to be well guided.

"The Parcoursup site is good if you know what training you want to do. You look for it and there you have plenty of information. If you don't know, it's very vague. Personally, I have nothing included on the site", explains Juliette.

"It's going to be a personal process, of ourselves going to see our teachers and on school sites," adds his friend.

This is also the message that Anne Sophie Lannoy, guidance counselor, wishes to convey.

"No, that's not enough since the orientation process is a long process. It's not enough to have content to say to yourself 'here I found what I want to do'", he confides. -she.

The hours of strolling in the living rooms or during the open doors of the establishments therefore often remain necessary.
