A site specializing in military affairs published the annual ranking of the most powerful armies in the Middle East for the year 2023. Turkey topped the rankings, followed by Egypt and Iran.

In the new ranking of the "Global Firepower" website, the Turkish army ranks first as the strongest army in the region, followed by the Egyptian and Iranian armies.

Despite being considered militarily superior in the Middle East, Israel ranked fourth after Turkey, Egypt and Iran.

In the global ranking, the site ranked Turkey 11th out of a total of 145 countries, Egypt 14th, Iran 17th and Israel 18th.

Saudi Arabia came fifth in the new ranking of the most powerful armies in the Middle East, followed by Iraq, the UAE, Syria, Qatar and Yemen.

The Saudi army ranked 23rd in the world, ahead of the German army, which ranked 25th.

The "Global Firepower" website relies on a number of factors, including the current situation of military, financial, logistical and geographical capabilities, in the annual ranking of military forces globally and regionally, and takes into account the size of countries and their technological progress.
