Kills 4 and commits suicide in a North Carolina home

US police found five dead people inside a North Carolina home, after one of them killed the other four and then committed suicide.

High Point Police said in a press release that officers found the bodies of two adults and three minors inside the home on Saturday.

The police declared all of them dead at the scene.

The authorities did not say how they were killed, but the press release said that the ongoing investigation into the incident indicated a "homicide-suicide."

Investigators said there was no threat to the community because of the crime.

The press release stated that the policemen were called to the scene after a man and a woman fled the house, screaming.

Investigators added that they met two people asking for help as soon as they arrived.

Captain Matt Truett told the local Greensboro News that the two people who fled the house were unharmed.

The police broke into the house and found the victims.

The authorities have not released the identities of those killed or their ages.

The crime occurred in a residential neighborhood of one- and two-story homes northeast of downtown High Point.
