On Twelfth Night, on January 5,

agents of the O Porriño Local Police located

a drunk man who was on the street trying to give a 26-month-old baby a bottle.

Later, they found the mother of the newborn who, according to the Police, was "very nervous" and

had not heard from the father and his son for hours

.

Due to the low temperatures that night, the emergency services decided to transfer the mother together with the baby to the O Porriño PAC.

There, the doctors confirmed that the minor showed signs of hypothermia, for which he was transferred with his mother in the patrol car to the Álvaro Cunqueiro Hospital in Vigo, since "the ambulance did not reach 24 degrees of temperature inside".

Already in the emergency department of the Vigo hospital, the newborn reacted perfectly to the medication and managed to come out of the state of hypothermia.

Following these events, the Local Police have reported that they have

initiated proceedings against the Duty Court and the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office, as well as the social services

.
