An investigation into war crimes in Ukraine is set to be high on the agenda at a meeting of justice ministers from around the world that Britain hosts in mid-March.

The British news agency (PA Media) reported that Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Dominic Raab will host the meeting in London at Lancaster House with his Dutch counterpart.

The meeting will hear from the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, about the work of the court and the role of the international community in supporting its investigations.

The meeting comes as Russian President Vladimir Putin continues to target critical energy infrastructure as he seeks to plunge Ukrainian citizens into darkness and eliminate central heating supplies during freezing winter temperatures.

Khan is currently conducting an investigation into accusations that Russian soldiers committed war crimes during the Ukraine war, with allegations from Kyiv that Ukrainian civilians were executed and raped during the 11-month-old war.
