  According to data from the U.S. Department of Justice, as of January 3, 2023, more than 950 people across the United States have been arrested or prosecuted for allegedly participating in riots on Capitol Hill.

More than 284 of them face criminal charges for assaulting, resisting or obstructing a law enforcement officer.

192 people have been sentenced to prison terms, with a maximum sentence of 90 months.

  Earlier in the day, Jeffries, the Democratic leader of the U.S. House of Representatives, and Pelosi, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, led members of the party to hold a memorial ceremony outside the Capitol.

  On June 30, 2021, the U.S. House of Representatives established a committee to investigate riots on Capitol Hill led by the Democratic Party.

After 18 months of evidence gathering, witness interviews and 10 public hearings, the commission released a final 845-page report on December 22 last year.

It concluded that Trump was the core cause of the riots on Capitol Hill.
