This was the coordinator for strategic communications at the National Security Council (NSC) of the White House, John Kirby, said at a briefing on Friday.
“I am not aware that training has actually begun,” he said.
Kirby clarified that the training will take place outside of Ukraine.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that preparations for the transfer of Patriot air defense systems to Kyiv had already begun.
The German Cabinet also announced that Germany would send an additional Patriot battery to Ukraine.
