A 50-year-old was found dead at his home in Tonnerre (Yonne), stabbed numerous times, we learned from the prosecution on Friday.
The 59-year-old man was found dead on December 30 in his apartment after a call from the neighborhood, said the public prosecutor in Auxerre, Hughes de Phily.
A large amount of blood was found, the victim having received a "significant number of stab wounds", without the precise number being known yet, according to the prosecutor.
A murder investigation has been opened but no arrests have yet been made, according to the same source.
