Carlson recalled that in 2016, the WikiLeaks organization disseminated information that US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton instructed her office to exert maximum influence on the election results.

According to him, in order to hush up this situation, the Clinton headquarters said that "Russia did it, the Russians hacked the servers."

The host added that the American intelligence services knew that this was not true, but “didn’t say a word,” because, as it turned out, “accusations against Russia are an excellent political tool.”

Carlson added that this subsequently became the standard response to any incidents in the US.

He clarified that everything that turned out to be objectionable to the American administration began to be called "Russian disinformation."

Earlier, Tucker Carlson said that accusations against Russia of allegedly blowing up the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines are the biggest lie he has ever heard.
