  The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced on the 5th that after consultation with relevant parties in the Mainland and approval from the central government, the first phase of customs clearance between Hong Kong and the Mainland will start on January 8, and a maximum of 60,000 Hong Kong people can pass by sea, land and air every day. There is no need for isolation and quarantine when the port goes north to enter the mainland.
