An 18-year-old young man was the victim of an assault in Cergy (Val-d'Oise) on Monday.

While he was in a park near the prefecture, around 6:30 p.m., he was approached by two men aged 17 and 18.

They asked him to give them his cell phone.

But the victim refused, reports

The young man was beaten up.

His two attackers stole his phone before fleeing.

However, they were arrested by the police and taken into custody.

An investigation has been opened for theft with violence.

This is not the first time that such an event has occurred in this sector and more particularly in this park.

Last February, three suspects aged 15, 16 and 17 were arrested by the police after several attacks in the park of the prefecture.

The violent robberies were committed between October 2021 and January 2022.
