SMHI has issued an orange warning for the northern parts of the county - the second highest warning level.

Starting in the morning, up to three decimetres of snow is expected in some places.

The emergency services are preparing for a scenario with major traffic problems.

- We have reinforced on the management side and overhauled equipment such as track carts.

In addition, we have plenty of staff around the county - about 200 people, says Fredrik Björnberg, who is the on-duty rescue manager in Jönköping, to SVT Nyheter Jönköping on Wednesday morning.

"Take your time"

So far, there are no concrete calls for people to stay inside, but those who are going out on the roads are asked to follow the weather closely.

- If you're going out, take your time, and if you don't need to go out, it might be a good idea to stay at home, says Fredrik Björnberg.
