France is stepping up its military support for Ukraine.
During an hour-long telephone conversation with Volodymyr Zelensky, Emmanuel Macron announced the delivery of light combat tanks to Ukraine.
“The president wished to amplify this” military aid already provided to kyiv “by agreeing to deliver AMX-10 RC light combat tanks”, communicated the Elysée, which specifies that it is “the first time that tanks of Western design are supplied to the Ukrainian Armed Forces”.
The number of tanks and delivery times were not disclosed.
