In Rosny-sous-Bois (Seine-Saint-Denis), a mother filed an appeal against the State so that her 5-year-old son, with a disability, can fully benefit from his right to education.

According to

Le Parisien

, this mother believes that the notification issued at the beginning of the year by the Departmental House for the Disabled (MDPH) was not respected.

The hearing is held this Tuesday before the administrative court of Montreuil.

An “unacceptable” situation

The child, who was to receive specialized support twenty hours a week, is only supervised for 16 hours a week by a “shared” support for students with disabilities (AESH), that is to say that she also supports another student in his class.

A situation described as "inadmissible" by the mother of the child, who fears that the latter will be exceeded, in particular with regard to writing and reading.

Published last August, a report by the Defender of Rights indicated that 20% of the appeals received related to difficulties in access to education for children with disabilities.

The rectorate of Créteil did not react to this appeal.
