For the general public, the Åseda-based duo is relatively unknown, but perhaps the big breakthrough will come this spring when they participate in Melodifestivalen 2023 with the contribution "Now I know".

They compete in Linköping on February 11 in competition 2.

- It's an arena song, very uptempo, which I think fits well in that forum.

It's a good text and story.

People might be able to relate and sing along to the choruses, says Jonas Hermansson and continues:

- There is no better showcase if you want to showcase your music in Sweden.

Then the effects of that are hard to say, but hopefully we can get a lot more gigs.

Tilda Feuk and Jonas Hermansson have been making music together since 2014 when they met in Stockholm.

Since then, they have had time to record an album in the country's hometown of Nashville, sang together in "Lotta på Liseberg" and were the band on Jill Johnson's summer tour.

- We do modern country with quite a lot of pop.

The good thing about country is that you can mix in so many different genres, says Tilda Feuk.

Kronorberg tight in the starting field

"Now I know" is one of 28 entries competing and the Åsedaduo will, among other things, meet Mello veteran Tone Sekelius from Växjö and Åby-born Tiktok star Emil Henrohn.

Moa "Cazzi Opeia" Carlebecker from Växjö is also in the starting field as a songwriter for Loreen's contribution.

- The competition is very, very difficult.

But for us it's a winning song regardless of how it goes in Mello.

We love the song and it feels so right, says Tilda Feuk.

- It struck me the other day that it is also a competition, I didn't think that far ahead.

I think it will be as it will be.

You have to focus on your own and think about what everyone says;

you have won just by joining.

But it's clear we want to win, it's clear we want to.

Or we turn it around, I don't want to lose anyway.
