An African man, who attracted attention with rumors that he was nearly 3m tall, unfortunately failed to break the world record for being the tallest man.

Samed, 29, from the village of Gambaga in northern Ghana, Africa, was told at his hospital the other day that he was 2m 89cm tall.

At 2m 89cm, he is 38cm taller than Sultan Kösen, a 2m 51cm Turkish man who holds the Guinness Book of Records.

When this news became known, the British media BBC went to the village to verify it.

Measured with a tape measure, Samed's height was 2m 24cm, 30cm shorter than the tallest record holder.

The height meter at the local hospital was smaller than Samed's height, so there was an error in the measurement process.

After confirming the results, Samed said with a smile, "I'm still growing, so who knows if I'll reach that height someday."

Suffering from gigantism, he is uncomfortable with his height and has a difficult social life, but he is not dissatisfied with the way God created him.

Netizens commented, "You're still growing, so you might break a new record.", "I can feel the positive energy this far. I'm rooting for you!"

and so on.
