You have probably seen the images of these houses frozen in the ice after the passage of a historic blizzard over the north of the USA and Canada.

With temperatures dropping to -55°C in places, there were many power cuts.

But one family in Canada, owner of a Ford F-150 Lightning, was able to wait for it to happen by staying warm.

Home battery

It was the father of the family who published the image on social networks under the pseudonym RapsFanLJ.

We see the 100% electric version of the Ford pickup, with the legend “This baby saved us” (this baby saved us).

He says that for nearly 48 hours, it was the vehicle that supplied the house with electricity.

The family warmed up, lit up, used WiFi, watched TV and continued to use their fridge, thanks to the vehicle which had fortunately been able to be fully loaded before the storm.

48 hours later, the Ford's charge level was still 63%.

Not bad !
