“Venezuela is ready, absolutely ready to take steps towards the normalization of diplomatic, consular and political relations with this US government and with the future government,” Maduro said in an interview with journalist Ignacio Ramonet.
Relations between the two countries were severed in 2019, when the United States recognized Juan Guaido, who illegally proclaimed himself President of Venezuela.
Earlier it was reported that the Venezuelan opposition voted for the liquidation of the "interim government" of Juan Guaido.
