The Japanese authorities believe that Zelensky's speech will introduce the G7 leaders to the current situation.
It is noted that the coordination of the G7 on Ukraine is an important step for Japan in preparing for a possible conflict over Taiwan.
“Japan believes that in the event of such a conflict, it will be directly involved in it, and count on a quick, tough response to China, together with the United States and Europe, in the same way as it was done with respect to Russia,” the message says.
Earlier, the G7 countries announced their intention to increase economic pressure on Russia.
