Jagharian spoke about the meeting with the Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Board, the country's nuclear agency and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara.
"Our plan is to help Sri Lanka build two mini nuclear power plants," he told Ceylon Today.
The ambassador added that two stations are just the beginning, the parties plan to build six such facilities.
In September, the Minister of Transport of Sri Lanka, Bandula Gunawardana, announced that the country's authorities intend to restore air links with Russia by mid-October.
