A 5.3-magnitude earthquake hits the Indonesian island of Papua

 An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale struck the northern coast of the Indonesian island of Paupua on Sunday.

The Euro-Mediterranean Center for Seismology stated that the epicenter of the quake was at a depth of 10 kilometers below sea level, at the confluence of 2.52 degrees south latitude and 140.78 degrees east longitude.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or material losses.
