Principals of public and private schools reported that the attendance rate of students on the first day of the semester, in which the number of school days is 55 days, ranged between 75 and 90%, indicating that the process of handing over textbooks began with the beginning of the first school day, in addition to the fact that the books are available electronically on Diwan platform.

They stressed the need for students to adhere to the school uniform so that the Student Behavior Management Regulations would not be applied to violators.

Field teams from the Foundation followed up the progress of the educational process in the school field (in government schools), the regularity of students and administrative and educational staff, the resumption of studies for the second semester, and ensuring that all school needs are provided.

On the other hand, government schools circulated an electronic link to the families of their students to pay tuition fees, provided that the use of bank transfers to the institution’s account is stopped, and school timetables were distributed to students and their families.

Public schools provided a number of health tips for students’ families to follow in the second semester, in order to preserve their health and support their educational achievement well. The most prominent of these tips is to adhere to a healthy breakfast on a daily basis, to carry out daily activities efficiently and effectively, to maintain a healthy sitting position, and to exercise. daily physical exercise to strengthen muscles and improve body health, in addition to drinking water in large quantities, and maintaining sleep hours, as it helps increase educational attainment, reduces digestive and nutritional disorders associated with lack of sleep, and reduces absenteeism, as well as wearing appropriate shoes, and avoiding shoes with High heels, which strain the feet, and taking into account the school schedule to reduce the weight of the school bag.

Since early morning, yesterday, schools began distributing books for the second semester, which were received wrapped in plastic bags.

The “distribution” company concerned with printing and distributing books had addressed the schools earlier, specifying the dates for delivering the books, so that they would be ready with the first day of the second semester.

The Emirates Education Foundation had asked school administrations to review the numbers of students and classes to be able to print books in numbers that do not exceed or decrease than required in each public school, taking into account the percentage of reserve books that are printed to cover the margin of change that may occur in schools as a result of transferring students.

The timetable for the second semester (the academic calendar) showed that the number of school days in the same semester is 55 days, starting on the second of January and ending on Friday, corresponding to the 24th of next March, including the time period for the second semester exam, which starts on the 20th of March. Next March, until the 24th of the same month, and is preceded by practical exams for group B, from the 13th to the 17th of next March.

Spring break for students begins on the 25th of the same month.
