No one knows for sure how many people live on the streets of Sao Paulo.

But social workers in the city testify that the number of hungry people in Brazil has increased drastically since the pandemic.

- Before, it was mostly lonely middle-aged men.

Now whole families come, says Jessica Campos, who works at an aid center.

Luiza and three-month-old son Tafarel are some of those who have come there to have a meal cooked.

- I have lived on the street for three months.

It is difficult.

There are many who go hungry, she tells SVT's correspondent Tigran Feiler.
