The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported the details of the strikes that the Russian military inflicted on December 31 on the objects of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine.
This was announced during the briefing by the official representative of the department, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov.
“A strike was inflicted with high-precision long-range air-based weapons on the objects of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine involved in the manufacture of attack unmanned aerial vehicles used to carry out terrorist attacks against the Russian Federation,” Konashenkov said.
He clarified that among the affected objects were storage sites and launch sites for attack drones.
Konashenkov stressed that the goal of the strikes had been achieved, and Kyiv's plans to carry out attacks against Russia had been thwarted.
The representative of the Ministry of Defense also spoke about the current situation in the special military operation zone.
According to him, in the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops inflicted fire damage on units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of several settlements in the Kharkov region and the LPR.
As a result, more than 40 Ukrainian servicemen, two armored combat vehicles and a pickup truck were destroyed.
In the Krasnolimansky direction, artillery fire hit five company tactical groups of the 92nd mechanized, 95th air assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 111th territorial defense brigade.
During the day, the enemy lost more than 150 people killed and wounded in this direction, an armored personnel carrier and two pickup trucks.
